Architect - Health Jobs
Architect - health jobs are a specialisation under architecture and interior design jobs. Architect - health jobs are for people who prefer to express their artistic skills in designing health care facilities such as hospitals, clinics, and health spas. Architect - health jobs are common in architecture firms and construction companies. Architects may also choose to work for themselves by providing services to clients or by running their own architecture firms.
Responsibilities in Architect - Health Jobs
Architects of health care facilities have the duty to design buildings which are structurally sound, visually appealing and functional. Some of their tasks include meeting with clients to discuss building specifications as well as conducting site inspections. Visiting the intended location for health care facilities help architects to determine the most appropriate design for buildings. Visiting locations also allow architects to interact with locals and find out what they think about having a new health care facility.
Architects must also create design plans for the clients and for the contractors. The design plan for clients are sketch drawings that include the clients' preferred building specifications. The more detailed design plan for contractors indicated more technical information such as floor plans, pipe structures and placements, and building dimensions and materials.
Architects of health care facilities are also required to visit the construction site at times. They must also work along with engineers, landscape artists and interior designers. Furthermore, they may instruct the construction workers of improvements to be made or ask about working conditions.
Education and Skills in Architect - Health Jobs
Architect - health jobs require architects to have accomplished education on architecture in college. Other courses that may help architects are interior design, landscaping and engineering. Also, architects must have trained under professional architects for at least three years. Moreover, architects must have acquired licenses to become certified professionals.
Some skills needed in architect - health jobs are artistic and creative skills. Architects must also be able to draw by hand or use computer programs to make design drafts. Moreover, architects need to have excellent communication and listening skills to understand and give clients what they want. In addition, architects must be able to organise all relevant information, details and operations essential to constructing and designing buildings.
